'Interconnection' is a duo art show with myself, Heather MacNeil and Elizabeth Pulker. As artists, we connect with our art, with other artists, and with the viewer.

The elements of water, air, and earth exude a healing power that is expressed in much of my artwork. As I live close to the water, I am always inspired by nature on my walks, and that energy of joy, light, flow and enthusiasm often comes into my work in an abstract and semi-abstract way.

For me as the artist, each new painting is an entrance into a new experience. Through spontaneity and intention, and in creating a dialogue with the painting, the image emerges. For the viewer, I invite you to enter into your own experience of the painting.

The Abstracted show at the Federation of Canadian Artists gallery on Granville Island runs from March 3 - March 15. There's a wonderful variety of abstract work on display. Happy that my painting 'Night and Day' sold on the second day of the show!! Thanks to the FCA and to the collector! Enjoy!

Three of my pieces are in the North Van Art Rental Programme for 2020 - Touch of Gold, Flourishing, and Free to Explore. The opening reception is Thursday, January 16, 6-8 pm. You can view the collection until February 15 at CityScape Community Artspace, 335 Lonsdale Ave. in North Vancouver. Currently, two of the pieces have been rented out, Flourishing and Free to Explore.

'Dance of Joy' sold at the Art Appreciator Night, Nov. 21 at the Federation of Canadian Artists gallery. It was a great evening with wonderful people, and a wonderful variety of art. Thanks to the FCA, and to the collectors!

The 33rd Sooke Fine Arts Show takes place July 26-August 5, 2019 with more than 380 works of art on display. This show is very well attended with more than 9,000 visitors during the 11 days the show is on. I am happy to be displaying my painting entitled 'Coming to the surface' in this exhibition. Painting on the Edge is an annual competition and juried exhibition for inventive artists worldwide. Each year this exhibition encourages artists to challenge themselves in their current practice and get out of their artistic comfort zones. Artwork articulates bold experimentation and innovation.

The Abstract Matters Art Show is taking place at the Gallery@Artisan Square, 589 Artisan Lane on Bowen Island. The show runs until September 8th and presents an ecclectic array of works by 8 abstract artists. I have 20 pieces in the show ranging from 8" x 8" to 36" x 36". Bowen Island is a 20 minute ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay and a lovely place to visit. Gallery hours are Wed - Sun 10 - 5 until end of August; from September 1st, Fri - Sun 12 - 4, or by appointment: 604.947.2454. Enjoy the show!

The Oil & Water Show continues at the Tsawwassen Longhouse until August 24th. Gallery hours are Tues - Sun 11-4; Thurs. 11-8; 1710 56th St. (18th Ave. & 56th St.) in Tsawwassen - not far from the ferry. I have 3 pieces in this show.
